I'll be sailing on the EOS on 3/11/11 in JS 9618. Does anyone know if these cabins have flat-screen TVs?

Last March they were not flat screen. We sailed in that same cabin 3 times in less than a year and it was the same TV with the green blob on the bottom. :rolleyes::(:rolleyes:

 

I heard something about the Explorer and dry-dock; did it happen yet? Maybe the TV's will be upgraded.

We were in 9318 in October and it was a flat screen.

We had a JS and a D2 on deck 9 a month ago. The JS had a flat screen, but the D2 did not.

We were in 9618 on the holiday cruise and it does have the flat screen TV. It was a fantastic room and you will be really spoiled. We loved it.

Standard balcony staterooms and lower category rooms do not have flat screen TV's yet. I'm sure they will eventually.

Are we talking about flat panel TV's or flat screen TV's? I have some of both. When I was

On the Navigator in Jan., it just had a regular crt style TV. For some reason I thought all new RCCL ships had flat panel TV's.

Thanks, endlesslove. Funny thing, I just booked this cruise in the middle of January and I was looking for mid-ship JS and this was the only one available. Then, I started reading about it being a center "hump" cabin and how great that is, etc. I'm surprised it was available so late in the game, but I'm thrilled and can't wait for 3/11!

I looked at the cabin crawl pictures I took on the Explorer on the 2010 Christmas cruise.

 

JS 9314 has a flat screen - look in lower right corner of picture

The Explorer is far from new

Just this past December 2010 we had a sweet big flat screen, wall mounted in our GS. New balcony furniture as well.

The Explorer was dry-docked Jan 2010. It appears that the tvs are being upgraded on a rolling basis, starting with the OS down.

In GS 1288 for the March 7, 2010 12 day-no flat screen, old tube. We did have the new suite deck furniture.

We were in GS I think 1554 on 5.10 and we did not have a flat screen tv.

Just on the January 2nd Explorer cruise. Of three cabins in our group, the Promenade Stateroom on deck 6 had one, the inside on deck 9 & outside deck 2 were the "old style" CRT type.
