Free NCL cruise from Twin River Casino?

I got the same invite for Twin Rivers yesterday, didn’t go though. In three years, I’ve been there once. But I do get, and use, them from Plainridge Park (actually get 4 a year from them). So I’m still convinced Twin Rivers gets my name from NCL through Plainridge. Now, with MGM Springfield open I will likely go there, but they are not affiliated with NCL, and offer their cruises from a competing line, and I really love NCL.

Yes, you can use a cruise next certificate when booking this cruise. I just picked up a voucher at Twin River Casino yesterday. I was so excited to have the Boston to Bermuda trip as a choice that I booked while we were still at the casino, and used a cruise next certificate.

Thanks a lot!

Are the people getting these cruises from Twin River (or wherever) qualified players? By qualified I mean you are spending a significant amount when at Twin River?

I'm not a gambler, but, if all it takes is for me to sign up for their program and maybe spend a few bucks in some slots or playing a table game, I live close enough to Twin River, maybe I should visit? It can't be that easy, is it?

As I mentioned, I have been to Twin Rivers once in 3 years: But I am a rated player at a close by casino that also gives away NCL vouchers. I have no idea how Twin River comes up with their names, but for me it is not by playing at Twin Rivers. It really makes no sense.

My parents get them all of the time from Foxwoods Casino. They require them to come down on a certain day before a certain time to claim it to get people into the casino.. A lot of casinos do it (here in New England anyway) I got something from Plainridge park. I get great deals through the CAS so I haven't taken Plainridge up on theirs.

Sorry this is a year old and all but you or someone wouldn’t happen to know if you can use a ncl cruise next voucher to help cover the taxes and fees? Or is it just good for normal booking? Tia.

We get certificates from Caesars and they let us use cruise next certs to cover taxes and upgrades.

I too received this and was excited.  I almost immediately checked the NCL online site and saw the potential destinations I could go.  I decided I would try for the Boston/Bermuda deal (a cheaper one according to the online website for NCL, but a port near me.)  Online, NCL showed the cost of the 7 day Boston/Bermuda for "$599" average per person, so I'm figuring the cruise for two is worth about $1200, just at that reportable level.  Now here's what I don't understand.  This is a free cruise for two, except port taxes and a few other fees.  How come when I called NCL, gave them the certificate number and worked on booking the cruise, they told me my total due after applying the cruise certificate was $1300+?  Mmmh...doesn't sound like a free cruise to me?  REGARDLESS of what anyone says about the legitimacy of these certificates from NCL, they are a scam...sure they sound good, almost too good...and you know what they say about that....if it sounds to good to be true......

Well the port fees and taxes are not included in the 599 pp.  For 3 people im paying 1k total.  Not exactly free but I wouldn’t call it a scam either.    Also it depends on what “free” add on you choose.  The drinks package adds a bunch of money in taxes and tips.

Maybe scam was a poor choice of words.  Thanks for sharing.  Just for those that don't know better, the port fees and admin fees are not included and I was aware of that (I have cruised before)...but for NCL to advertise the "avg cost per person of $599" and in small print say the port and admin fees are additional....I guess that is not a scam but rather VERY misleading.  The avg cost per person is actually $1350 with fees....so I believe they misrepresented the expected costs....lure you in with $599 and charge you $1350.....whodathunkit?  Thanks again and I did not want to leave a poor assessment of the 'free cruise' but rather an honest assessment once I found out what "Free" means.
