Radiance Western Caribbean Port advice

Both ports are heavy water activities.

They both also have Mayan ruins sites.

We went to Chacchoben the last time we were in Costa Maya.

We have been to Cozumel 3 times; we did the Tequila Tasting once, a combo Mayan ruin (lame) and beach break another time, and the last time in Cozumel, we just wandered around the town for awhile.

We are going on our 2nd cruise (husband and I med 40's) in April, the two ports of call are Costa Maya and Cozomel....was wondering if any excurions were worth doing....any advice is welcomed. thanks so much!

JENNY

Cozumel has just about any thing you would like to do, Costa Maya I would enjoy the ship as there is no real benefit to get off unless you like going to the ruins, drink prices where about the same on the ship as in port.

In Costa Maya we booked a all inclusive beach day at Maya Chan it's gotten great reviews check it out.

In Cozumel were doing Passion Beach A really nice pristine beach all Inclusive also. They shot the Corona Beer comercials at that beach.

Were going on the 4/11 cruise if your cruising the same date come join our roll call.

We will be on the same cruise in April. We usually don't book an excursion with the ship, but like to find a nice quiet beach to spend the day at. We went to Passion island the first time in Cozumel and was very dissapointed. The water wasn't very clean and there were sand fleas everywhere. This time we have been looking at either San Francisco or Paradise Beach. Haven't found a beach yet in Costa Maya. Does anyone have a great beach recommendation for either port? Also this is the first time we are going on a Radiance class ship, have read both good and bad reviews of this ship. The bad reviews usually involve sewer odors. Is it still the same or have the problems been fixed? What should we expect from this class of ship?

We were on the February 5 sailing and visited Maya Chan in Costa Maya. This was the second time we have been there within the year. You will not be disappointed! Mark, Jane, Zack and the rest of their staff will bend over backwards for you! We will continue to visit Maya Chan when we are in Costa Maya!

If you have any questions about Maya Chan...ask away!:D
