List Of Where Your Favorite CD Might Be?? (merged)

You may be thinking of Karen Maybury who was CD on the Jewel repositioning cruise out of Boston last October. Of the twenty plus CD's shown on the website, we have sailed with at least 9 of them. Many others that we sailed with over the years are not listed on this site.

I don't see Allan Brooks listed as one of the CD's!!

 

He was the CD who inaugurated the Serenade. We thought he was terrific when we sailed with him.

Allen moved on to other career opportunities outside of the cruise industry this last January:(

When I have asked Royal Caribbean directly who our CD was going to be, the message was "we don't give out that information for security reasons."

 

It looks like the only way to compile this list is anecdotally, through each other, as jrm9999 is already doing.

I recently contacted RCCL about the CD for the Mariner on June 19, 2005 and was told that the CD for that sailing hasn't been determined yet. I saw on another thread that the current one was only through May.

I don't know of all the CD's out there, but I do know of most of them and have never heard of any Karens.

 

Maybe they are talking about Karen Mayberry (or Maybury). We had her once and she was awful (in our opinion anyway).

 

 

Wow....looking at the link with the CD's pix....We haven't had many of them....most of them I have never even heard of....Guess some of the oldies but goodies have left. We will miss some of them.

She was the CD when we were on the Navigator last year. She was great! Talk about energy- I don't know how she did it. She's very friendly, and as she always says "if you're going to do anything, do it with a smile."

This list is not complete. I can think of 2 off the top of my head missing. Dan Whitney (Dan Dan the Party Man) is still a current CD and not there. Matt Bakers brother Simeon was on a ship for a few weeks a month or two ago. I don't see him (and maybe things did not work out). But I know Dan is still around.

I am going to assume he went on vacation. He was on AOS and sometime between 2/27 and 3/17 a switch was made.

Look at post #12. Thats where I got the info. If anyone can report something different or updated info for the Brilliance CD, then great. Until then I have no reason to believe this is incorrect.

Actually - just read on another post about Voyager that Drew Devine is the new cruise director, just starting last week.

Yup, we just sailed on the Voyager last week and Drew Devine is the new CD. Last week was his very first week as a Cruise Director. He was great and very personable. At the Farewell show he was even playing drums in the band at one point. You guys will have a blast with him.

We were on the Radiance 3/6-20 and the CD was Gordon Whatman. When we were in Cozumel on 3/11, the Rhapsody was thee as well and Peter Benfield was aboard. We like them both.

Well its my last cruise here with Princess, and to answer the questions, 99% I will be joining Royal Caribbean at the end of March, starting with the Splendour until May then onto the Navigator middle of June for 4 months.

 

Had a great 6 years at Princess, but I need a new challenge, I have worked for Carnival for 7 years, then Princess, and in truth RCI is another angle to try with that silly humour of mine....and then ....who knows.

We're siling the Carib Princess 4/23 and will not get to see him. Heard he is great.

 

Wonder who will be our CD on the Voyager in August. Richard Spacey will be hard to top.

Just got off the Majesty of the Seas on Monday and Duane Davis was the CD. He said he has been there for just a week or so.
