Restrooms in Venice

I see on Venice connected they sell a Daily Toilet Card.

 

For those of you who have visited.

 

Are all Restrooms pay for use?

How much are they?

Are they hard to find?

 

When we visited Barcelona and Italy last year - we never had to pay so I was wondering if this is just a Venice thing?

My concern with the card is do they cover all restrooms? As to your question, I don't know if they all are but a lot of them are. If I remember right they were 1 euro and no, we never had a hard time finding one.

I think they might have been 1.5 Euros and be aware the public ones close at dusk. After that you may be looking for a cafe to buy a drink or gelato and use theirs

the only public restroom i recall using in Venice was in the train station and it was .70 in Euro.

When we were in Venice last May most of the public restrooms were E1.50. We found that going to a cafe and buying an espresso coffee each was E1 and you could use their facilities. They were mostly clean and no queues. However, make sure that you drink the espresso standing at the counter. If you sit at a table, they are more expensive.
