Panama Canal - cabin selection

We are thinking of a full transit Panama Canal for April, 2012. We are trying to decide on an aft suite (SC or SB) on one of the larger HAL ships, but wonder if this is the best option or not. Are the suites that much smaller than the SA? Is the view that much better?

Also, which aft wraps have a full covered balcony?

Thanks

Dave ... just answered you on another thread too but:

We would not have traded our aft-wrap for ANYTHING!

FULL-COVER 5191 was our choice for the canal on Zuiderdam.

Photos like below during the transit.

The cabin (second photo) is NOT that much smaller than an SA

(I think Joanie has the exact measurements for all the cabins.)

and if there are just two of you it will not matter (IMHO).

The balcony was 450 square feet. (I measured it.) See third photo.

5191 had SIX closets just like an SA.

The SCs do have smaller sofa beds but, again,

you don't say how many there are in your party.

Cheers!

The Sc's are definitely smaller than an SA - probably closer to a Superior Verandah - you can see the difference in Dave's pictures.

But the balconies are huge :D:D and the views are great - so it really depends upon what you want. If you want the view and balcony, go for it :D:D

You do NOT want to confine yourself to your balcony to see the canal...you MUST wander about the ship and view this from all sides and deck levels. Sitting in one spot, you'll miss 80% of the sights!
