Galveston Hotel by beach

We are leaving on a cruise June 20 and would like to stay on the beach with kids so they can swim the night before. Any suggestions?

All the main hotels are ACROSS from the beach. any address on seawall is across from the beach.

 

quality inn and suites beachfront for instance is set back from the street, and you still have to cross the street. (but on the plus side this hotel is one of two with a inside pool in case it rains).

 

Most of the main hotels are along seawall, so you have many to choose from.

 

there was a hooters on the beach, but since hurricane ike nothing on that side of the road now.

There are many hotels on the Seawall Blvd. Here's a link to lodging on the island with addresses and other pertinent info. My favorites on the Seawall are The Galvez and the Hilton but there are others and in different price ranges.

Hotel Galvez is great with a fabulous pool.

There are a couple of condos that rent condos on the beach. I believe that all hotels right now including the condos have a 2 or more night minimum. Go to galveston.com and it will pull up all hotels in Galveston. The San Luis also has a fabulous pool. If you have any questions about a certain hotel I will try to answer your question.
