I agree!! I told DH a few days ago that I didn't want to work anymore, just cruise forever. Then I remembered that I would need money. . .:(:p

We, Angelo & Connie, Freeville, NY, recently booked this cruise, cabin 4161. We have not read all the previous pages but hopefully will get it done soon. Maybe this topic has been

previously discussed here. But, looking for a good beach in Nassau we sent an email to the Sheraton Cable Beach Resort in Nassau. We have cut and pasted the text of the email.

c_davis: Day passes are available to use the pool, beach and other facilities depending on the hotel. Sheraton Nassau Beach Resort offers a day pass for $25 per person that includes the use of the pool, beach and beach lounges.Wyndham Nassau Resort offers a day pass for $40 per person that includes the use of the pool, beach, beach lounges and lunch at SeaSide Buffet (lunch ends at 4 p.m.). British Colonial Hilton offers a day pass for $55 per person that includes the use of the pool, beach, beach lounges and within that price you receive a $30 food coupon.

I also talked to a person from the Wyndham Resort today (1-800-633-0043). They told us

that for $1.50 per person you can take the public bus (number 10 bus) which you can get behind the straw market just off the ship. Tell the driver when you get on which resort you want to get off at. You can also take a taxi but is quite a bit more pricey.

 

For what it is worth. I think we are going to the Wyndham Resort. Better reviews and

only a 10 to 15 minute bus ride. I think what sold us or maybe I should have said my wife, (the shopper) there is a straw market across the street from the resort.

 

PS: If a picture of the ship Constellation shows up. It's from our last cruise and we don't

know how to make the picture go away.

The water in Nassau looked beautiful and we would have loved a beach day here if we hadn't already had two other beach days! I have heard good things about the Wyndham Resort and I hope you will post a review when you return.

Thank you!! Even almost 5 months later I still look at this pic and dream. . .sigh. . .:p!! The Miracle was a great ship and we are thinking of doing the Legend in 2012. Grand Turk was amazing- the water was so beautiful!! I just love the contrast of the colors- blue sky, blue water, and green palm trees. So beautiful!!

We were in cabin 4130. We really enjoyed the cabin!

One of our cabins is in a similar location. I'm not going to worry about moving the cabins. They will be just fine. BTW, did you notice a pool table on the Miracle? I noticed in Cuted's review of the Legend there were two pool table.

I honestly don't remember seeing a pool table on the Miracle. I know if we had seen one DH would have played. However, we did miss areas of the ship. Someone else may know for sure. I would think if the Legend had pool tables then the Miracle also would.

I will enjoy it. My dad couldn't cruise last December because he got a kidney transplant about a month before the cruise. A cousin went in his place. For the past several months the doctors thought that he was rejecting the kidney; however last week the transplant doctor told him that he is okay and doesn't have to come back until 6 months. He still has to see his other doctors and go for labs.

 

Yes, we will enjoy the cruise. My 19 y/o son asked me last week if I will show him how to play the slot machines because he tried last year and stopped because it was too confusing. He didn't tell me that he tried until about 4 months ago.

I am so glad that your dad is doing well with his transplant. . .sounds like you all deserve a nice and relaxing vacation! DH and I didn't get a chance to go to the casino on this cruise so I can't wait to try it out on the next one! I am not much of a gambler. I hate to lose money to the machines. I can easily make $20 last 3 or 4 hours- lol!! Hope your son will have lots of good luck on them!!

We've never cruised with Carnival....but it's time. However, I feel like I'm cheating on NCL! Their "Freestyle Dining" has (had) us hooked.

Just 1 question...why didn't you do the "Your Time Dining" on days you couldn't make it there for 6:00? That appears to fit our style.

I have been looking at several NCL cruises for 2012. . .love the look of the ships!

 

You can't do "Your Time Dining" unless that is the dining time you choose. We had already chosen to do the early dining so we had to have early dining the entire cruise. I think next time we may choose the "Your Time Dining" because I really think it will fit our style better.

What a great review - I love reading reviews from first time cruisers.......it reminds me of our first cruise, many years ago!

 

We sail on the Miracle in January - different itinerary and no New York but we are excited.
