Does anyone know if the restaurant at Hotel 1829 is closed for good

It has been closed for a number of years and I believe it is still closed as of today.:(. Have you tried Herve? next door? Google it.:)

You might want to try Glady's in the Royal Dane Mall. Locals seem to like it. And of course there's always Cuzzin's.

I've seen some recs for Coco Blue in Redhook where the old Lotus Sushi used to be. But focus on fine dining seems to be on 13 which is up on the northern end and I believe only open for dinner.

Sorry to hear they have closed. We left the Island three years ago and have only been back for cruise stops since. I knew there was a health issue, but hoped it had been resolved. Many changes in three years and not all of them for the better IMO.

cuddles: Are you looking for dining downtown? Cuzzin's for local food, Cafe Amici, Virgilio's are all good for lunch.

You can have drinks at Hotel 1829 - the bar is still open last I checked.

 

Tavern on the Waterfront has the harbor view, and they're open for lunch. It gets good dinner reviews.
