Running late and taking the 405:eek:!!!! You are one brave soul:) Great start, I'm looking forward to reading more of your review. Thank you so much for posting.

Haha, unfortunately it's becoming a real bad hobby of ours to get to port at the last minute, LOL

Thank you for joining us!!!

After finding our room and dropping off the carry-on, it was time to get to Lido deck and get some FOOOOD!!! Right after I shut the door to head to Lido, our Steward Atak came to greet us!!! After quick introduction, I offered him a pre-cruise tip (I know some people might find it debatable), and of course he instantly thanked me and asked me if there was anything we would like before we returned. I asked him for 2 things, if he could empty the fridge for our drinks and if he could fill the bucket with ice. He smiled and said NO PROBLEM:).

So off we go to Lido...

Here is my first meal of the day...Side note, I always promise myself to eat lots of fish and salad on every cruise and eat less meat... Fish meal was very yummy!!!

@babies12 - I think that's why we are all so engrossed in this review! It's like Friday's soap opera episodes used to be - building up the anticipation to the next installment! But since I'm leaving this Sunday .....

Hello there!!! I apologize if it's taking longer:(. After a week of vacation, as soon as I got to work, there was a pile of work waiting for me, so much for rest!!! Today is my day off, so I promise to wrap up the 1st day and hopefully the 2nd day:eek:.

Here we go.

As soon as we ate, they called out for Muster Drill, but I don't really like to go, because I'm very claustrophobic, so instead, we headed back to room, and waited until it was over...

Once it was over, Splendor was ready to leave Long Beach. So, we quickly went to our balcony.

You can see the Aquarium of the Pacific in the background...

And guess, who came by to say Good Bye.

Oh, one other thing I forgot to mention. When we were ready to leave the room for the sail away party around 4:40, the guy approached our room with our luggages. I was happy to see my luggages arrive ON TIME!!!

Alright, back to Lido...

Here is a yacht whisking by...

As I was about to climb to Deck 10, the waiter approached me with a question:" Ma'am, would you like a drink?" And I answered:"What kind of a question is that? Of course, I want my drink!!!" We laughed, and he was glad to grant my wish...

Here is the Drink of the First Day!!! Delicious!!!!!

So, after several sips from my DOD, I realized it was going to be a challenging walk on Deck 10, because it was very windy and...yes, also because of the alcohol in my system...:p

Here is a picture from Deck 10

Then, we decided to move to the front of the ship, and join the Sail Away Party!!!

On our way, we saw the basketball court. My kids loved spending time here, but they also admitted that it was pretty windy up in the court area, and therefore it was challenging for them to play...

Looove the Whale's Tale guarding the court...

Then came the waterpark for kids and adults. Note, how this nice man posed for my camera.

Finally, we approached to the happening part of the ship!!!

I soooo wanted to join them happy people, so I dragged my family down to Lido deck...After dancing a little, we were ready to explore the ship little bit more...So off we go...

After checking out the Atrium, kids wanted to settle down in the beautiful Atrium where the band was playing, and play Candy Land (we borrowed the game from the library). Guess who came last...ME!!! Sneaky kids...

After done with Candy Land, we returned the game back to the library, and decided to check out Deck 5 and the Promenade area. You can find the following on Deck 5: The Grand Piano Bar, El Morocco lounge, The Red Carpet Night Club, The Casino, Shopping Stores, The California Sushi Bar, and can't remember what else...

Here is the Red Carpet.

Oh boy, did you say you skipped the muster drill by staying in your cabin? Be prepared to be lectured about that!

I know, I know, LOL, I usually view the emergency drill procedures posted behind the cabin door, and I ask to make sure which tender we belong to...in case of emergency:eek:.

Here are some pics of Grand Piano Bar. The Pianist was Jason. I only entered the Piano room, when it was empty, so can not comment on Jason's performance. But, we passed by it many times, and people seemed to be happy to be there:).
