all inclusive or pay as u go, which is better value for cruise?

Recommended Posts

Those who have been on crystal or similar lines that include:flights, excursions, wine, tips etc. are more expensive to book but are they a better value when you add on all of these extras on lines such as hal, princess, cunard?

Everyone needs to buy flights, pay tips, and many enjoy wine or drinks on trips and excursions, so is there a lot of difference in final price between the luxury lines inclusive pricing?

I've not been on crystal or raddison but wondered if having everything included would be a similar value?

I think it may depend on what you include with the mainstream lines

For us Regent is not a good value ..we do not drink much, we do our own excursion which are included in the price & you pay upfront for

We do not like formal night so would never consider a cruise line that has this

I think you need to see what works best for your lifestyle

Enjoy

Figure what you will likely spend on the things that other lines include and compare the results. it really depends on the extent you will utilize the things include. I suspect that if you are comparing prices that the luxury lines will come out more expensive.
