travelgoddess1 Posted January 1, 2012 #1 Share Posted January 1, 2012 What, if anything, is Royal Caribbean offering to Suite guests, Diamond, Diamond Plus, and Pinnacle Club guests in lieu of evening cocktails in the Concierge, when there is no Concierge Lounge on the ship? Is there a nightly Diamond event? We sailed on Monarch last April, and there was a Diamond event (wine and beer) offered in the Viking Crown Lounge every evening. Does Vision of the Seas offer this amenity, as well?

I don't know if it's fleetwide policy to offer the nightly Diamond event to suite guests. I know that's been done on Monarch before, but I don't know about other ships. catnt2 Posted January 1, 2012 #5 Share Posted January 1, 2012 Karen, I've heard from some cruisers, that if there are a lot of Diamond Plus/Pinnacle members on board that the ship will close off a part of the Viking Crown or another lounge and make it a "Concierge Lounge" like they have on the larger ships.....Appetizers and Mixed Drinks. However, on the Manarch/Majesty it just seems to be the Beer, Wine, Soda and Trail mix!

(But you never know, as the older ships get refurbished, they may change it up a bit and make changes before the Vision actually goes into refurbishment.) But, that was the way it was in August when we were onboard.

All ships without a Concierge Lounge offer the nightly Diamond event as you experienced on the Monarch: complimentary *champagne*, red wine, white wine, soda. 25% off all other drinks. No snacks/hors d'oeuvres. :)

swcruise Posted January 6, 2012 #9 Share Posted January 6, 2012 I'm pretty sure when we were on AOS this year that there was a Diamond event nightly off the Viking as well as a CL on deck 9. Any idea why that may be the case ?

Any idea why that may be the case ? If you mean Adventure, then what you describe is to be expected. Adventure has no dedicated Diamond Lounge, so it would instead have a nightly Diamond Event. If you mean Allure, then they should have had the Diamond happy hour in the DL, or more likely in the Blaze nightclub.
