Wicked week with work and packing and etc but we are finally leaving this afternoon!

Take care and I will eat well on the trip..I have also packed my sneakers for workouts while onboard. My sweetie likes to sleep in so to "save" our relationship of 10 years, I always go the ship gym early in the day.

Hugs!

Feeling a bit frustrated today. I thought I did ok over the weekend but maybe not. I was up .8. Hoping it was sodium and it will be gone by tomorrow. I have been working out hard 6x a week. I just need to make good food choices :o

I leave in a little over 2 weeks for that first cruise and I am excited and nervous.

Can't wait for the cruise but also don't want to gain 5lbs:eek: I know what to do to not gain I just don't know if I will have the will power to do it. Anyways... this week will be a good for me I know it

Hope everyone else is hanging in there... sunlover - I am right there with you with this last 5-10lbs.... the hardest ones:rolleyes:

Have a great week everyone

My husband and I walk on the walking track everymorning after breakfast before the pool for 3 miles and that has kept us to no weight gain on all 7 of our cruises so far......

Great job Sunlover5 and always great when it goes down !! And March will be here before you know it Jan seemed to fly by!! Well I feel pretty good weight wise, When I weighed in the begining of Jan I'm down 5lbs, So I am thrilled!! Now I would'nt mind a couple more to put me at my Happy "cruise Weight"!!! But I am not complaining !! I tried on my Skinny jeans as I like to call them and they fit pretty good!!! So I'm pretty proud..But As we all know gotta just keep it up!! Well It so cold here in RI, we went from being in the high50's which is great for RI in Jan to in the 20's, and they're calling for that white crap again this weekend...Nothing big though..Well hope everyone is doing great, the weekend is coming so hopefully everyone will take care and have some WINE!!!!! (I know I will once I get home from work today, LOL!!)

We are in MA and I agree....50's one week deep freeze the next and back up to 50's....seriously???? Mother nature needs to see a specialist for her menopause issues ;)

  • 2 weeks later...

And thank God after almost a week, they are gone.

So even though we don't have an immediate cruise on the horizon (although we are planning an Alaska cruise May 2014) I am still working out and watching my food intake.

Hope everyone else is doing well...thinking of y'all in the weather.

Hugs!

I think I'd love to try this more so than working out in the gym, just cause I do the treadmill and stuff at home, different change of scenary and what better than in the middle of the ocean!! I do try to take the stairs alot when we cruise, hay I think of it as every little bit helps! My husband thinks i"m a bit crazy (he is not one to work out.....at all)about wanting to do something whether its walking inside or out on the ship,LOL

Well miss donna I'd like to say I was down 10lbs but no, lol!! I still need to lose a "nice" 5 I think from that dam cruise!!! I've been exercising but finding it oh so hard to say no to the wine, I'll be honest, I love it so!!! But so happy for you thats fabulous !! I figure as long as i'm still working out, once everything dies down, parties and food and cake and oh that thing called Vacation , It'll be a bit easier to get back to my happy precruise weight!! Well Gotta run , have to pick up my oldest at school!! Hope everyone is doing good!!

Hey there ya'll!

I have to say it's nice to have my sweetie exercising and eating right with me but at times it get a bit frustrating.

Progress to date (37 days w/o alcohol and eating "clean")

Sweetie: down 19 pounds

Me: down 10

At least we are losing

We have changed our next cruise to earlier in 2014. Still trying to decide! And since we are getting married just before things get a little crazy but a good problem to have.

Keep up the great work everyone!

Hugs!

Donna

Donna!!! 37 days with no alcohol?? That my friend is fabulous!!! With eating clean???( I know I could do the clean eating , its the no alcohol that would truly kill me, as we know I LOVE my wine lol) That is such an accomplishment and to have the hunny exercising with you , men tend to lose weight so much easier than woman , I remember seeing that at Weight Watchers, the women would lose 1-3 lbs, while the men would be at a 5 lb loss for the week!! But hay at least your losing!!You have quite the busy year next yr, but it'll probably go by so fast....Well hope everyone has a great long weekend!! My nephew is coming back in town to finally get his wife to move to Virginia, so we're having a baby shower/ party for them...One cake down that I made last nite one more to go today!!!

WOOOOHOOOO!!! God its been way to long since I"ve been on here!!

Still working out and trying to get back on track from the eatathon around the holidays...Between the cookies and the food and the oh so fabulous wine, yeah it feels good to get the eating back on track..The working out has always been a constant. But now that the holidays are finally done, its a bit easier..

We do have a cruise coming in just 98 more days. Seemed like forever when we booked it at 367 days ago!! And the hubby and I are getting away for a long weekend in Disney in just 2 weeks!!!

So yes lots of great things coming up!

Hope everyone (although donna I think its just you and I kid, lol) is doing well and feel free anyone who is just lurking, come on and join us, we"re a real great little group!!

So glad that some of us are still here!

My cruise is in 48 days with a few ladies from work. Should be fun but this is my first trip (non work related) in over 10 years with my husband.

And while I believe that exercise and good eating shouldn't be dependent on fitting into your "cruise clothes"...it's great to use this site as "inspiration for our perspiration"

Cheers!

Donna

And yes, Keri...I am trying to "pause" my wine consumption as well...its goes right to my gut and butt!:eek::eek:
