We have been on Celebrity three times and have always loved it. However we are considering trying a 14 night Hawaiian cruise on the golden Princess. What are the rules about bringing wine and liquor on board Princess Cruises? Celebrity was fairly relaxed about it.

Princess has a policy very similar to Celebrity in that they do allow you to bring wine, Champagne and other non-alcohol beverages aboard at the embarkation port. We have never had a problem bringing any reasonable amount of wine aboard and have even done this at intervening ports (although technically they could take this wine and hold it until the last day). As is true for just about all the mass market lines you are not permitted to bring liquor aboard for consumption so they will take any hard stuff and hold-it until the end of the cruise. Princess, like Celebrity, does allow you to bring your own wine into the dining room but they also charge a corkage fee. When we are on longer Princess cruises we often take a box of wine (4 or 5 bottles) for use on our balcony.

Princess allows each adult passenger to carry on one bottle of wine. However, they do not enforce the restrictions on wine and alcohol.
