FTLcruisers Posted January 15, 2012 #1 Share Posted January 15, 2012 We'll be stopping in Amsterdam in May and are wondering how easy it is to get from the port into the city. Is it within walking distance? Do the cruielines usually have shuttle buses (we'll be on Royal Caribbean). Marianne
Ine Posted January 15, 2012 #2 Share Posted January 15, 2012 Check this map for details. Cruiseterminal is on B5. On B4 you find Damsquare, the royal palace etc. Much depends what you mean with city-center...is it shopping or museums? Canalcruises of 1 hour start around Centraal Station. The station is about 20 min. walk. Tramnr. 26 goes to Centraal Station and further into town and stops close to ther cruiseterminal. Or take a canalbus boat: http://www.canal.nl/en/ The orange line picksup near the cruise terminal.
