So Confused About Atlantis Day Pass

Hi

I was thinking about this excursion for our cruise. We are going Dec 30 2012 and I am not sure if the watersides are worth it, I have a feeling the lines will be long.

Also are the 70$ aquarium and beach passes still available?

It's likely that NO passes will be available directly thru atlantis during this time. It's their highest season and they are booked solid. This is usually a black out period for them. Just too many people.

If you are looking for passes, I suggest either the ship's tour, or majestic (www.majestictoursbahamas.com

As you already know.. the lines will be long and the chairs/pools will be filled.

You may not be aware that due to the winter months having shorter days, the waterpark will be closed by 4:30pm... somedays a little earlier. Pools/beaches will close shortly after. It get's dark early in the winter.

Hmm thanks for the tip about the time that is closes, I didn't even think of that ! Yeah , I realize we are going at a high time . I would really like the day pass though and the link seems to be suspended :(. We might pass on Atlantis this time because I would like some time to sit on the beach it the sun ! Because chances are I will be coming from -37 degree C weather and will need it ! We might be spending a week in Nassau in the near future so we might do that then!

Thank you for your help '

We purchased our Beach Day pass through Majestic Tours. It offers the same as the cruise only we can do the tour on our own. My understanding is well be able to tour the ruins and the aquarium. We will have access to the hotel lobby, shops & the casino. It includes lunch and the beach! We only paid $69.00 per peson so I think Its well worth it. I guess the lunch will just be like a chicken basket, fries & a drink or the like but I wasnt expecting a steak dinner (some people are Debbie downers). We're suppost to pick up the tickets right there in the Atlantis lobby. They also offer the pass that includes the water slides at a cheaper rate then the cruise lines as well. This will be my 40th Birthday cruise as well :) Have fun!!!!

That is exactly what I am looking for! Do you possibly know the exact name of the tour?

I think so too, I am praying on the weather. Its been a million degrees here in Ohio so Im confident :) Our pass does not include transporatation. Ive been looking around and I think well try the water taxi which says its $6.00 round trip

I am helping a friend research Atlantis choices for the Aquadventure. I tried to book the Comfort Suites for her on Wed., August 16 and it says they were all booked. Then when I tried Tues., Aug. 15, it said the same thing? Any ideas why?

To those people who asked about getting more than 4 passes to Atlantis, this is what I did last November. We were 2 adults and 4 kids. We booked a room at the Comfort Suites to get 4 passes and then booked 2 excursions through the cruise. Being the cheap-wad I am, I booked 2 "children's" excursions through the cruise (NCL). Prior to the day of the excursion, they said I could get the passes the night before but this turned out not to be true. So we had to wait with the excursion group at the dock for about 30 minutes, while the NCL people slowing handed out the passes. They looked a bit confused when I went up for my 2 "children's" passes and told them we were taking our own cab and would not be with the group. I finally had to tell them that we, adults, already had purchased our passes elsewhere, so it was ok to give me the 2 "children's" passes. It was a bit of a pain to wait with the group, but that was the cheapest way for us to do it and then we never saw the group again.

It's probably booked because it's summer in the Caribbean. Lots of cruise ships and lots of regular vacationers, places are bound to be crowded and to sell out.

There are only 2 aquariums in this pass. The DIGS (which is one big aquarium with several viewing areas, takes about 30 minutes) and the Predator Lagoon, which is the tubes, and takes another 15 minutes or so.

You are not free to wander the grounds and view the other outdoor exhibits.

If this is fine for you.. go for it..

I'm going for it!!!!!!!

Majestic website stated pretty plainly that the Atlantis Day Pass was for only those who are staying on Paradise Island.

Also, the comfort Inn/suites site will only take a 2 day minimum for the night I want. (November)

Can we get Atlantis all access passes from the resort in advinace?

Thanks.

Atlantis does NOT sell passes in advance.

Majestic WILL sell passes to cruisers.. but read the cancellation policy.

I'm assuming you are going during thanksgiving. It will be packed to the gills.

I dont see where it states that. if they only sold passes to people staying on the Island they would be the worst tour company in the world. You can buy your tickets there in advance and pick them up. The cancellation policy is scarey but I'd have to be dead not to show up!

Plain language to me:

http://majestictoursbahamas.com/MajesticToursTourNo15.htm

"Tour available daily. Transfers conducted by Majestic licensed guides.

The Aquaventure program is only available to guests staying on island. This program is subject to availability and may be SOLD OUT on certain dates as deemed by Atlantis”

--------------------------------------

Scuba, We will be there all day on Feb. 20. Is that considered Thanskgiving.?

Thank You.

Feb 20 is not Thanksgiving, but it IS presidents week .. and the start of spring break. So things will be busy.

As for Majestic, they have changed their policy, but have NOT updated their website.

Hundreds of cruisers use their services each day

Contact them directly.

They now sell tours to cruisers. This was not the case a year or so back.

Book with them and pick up your passes at their tour desk at the Atlantis. Be sure to bring your confirmation information and check their cancellation policy.
