Contacting a cc member

So if you see a post, and that person is maybe going on the same cruise as you, etc.,how can you get a message to that member? You wouldn't start a thread, and CC does not have private messaging . Any suggestions ?*Thanks

Yeah, I wish CC had PMs for that reason. I don't want to hijack a thread, but at the same time, sometimes I'd like to talk to just one person about something irrelevant to the thread, like a specific cruise listed in their signature.

You can trade email addresses on these boards and then use that to communicate outside of CC. There is no Private Message facility to these boards.

You are right, and if you reply or quote their post, they may not look at that one again. Another cruise chat site that I use some has PM, but it has such a small following, that if you pose a question, it takes a long time for replies, whereas on CC , it takes no time.

Suggest you set up an email address that you only use for CruiseCritic. Then, if you want to, once the person has contacted you, give them your "real" email address:)
