What is Cafe Caribe?

I have been on 7 Princess cruises and enjoy the Horizon Court. We have a Caribbean Princess booking for August, and I'm hearing about Cafe Caribe. Is this a buffet also? If so, what is the difference between that and the Horizon Court?

It's also a buffet on the back of the boat next to Horizon. Different menu, sometimes better, sometimes not. Also open late at night (till 2:00?)

You may have heard that Princess has a Bistro that is open into the wee hours for those that stay up late. I think the one on the Caribbean Princess is called Cafe Caribe. It's located on one side of the Horizon Court.

We had the greatest seafood buffet at the Cafe Caribe on the CP on several evenings. It was fantastic! It is located right behind the Horizon Court Aft.

Reviving an old post (2005) on the differences between Cafe Caribe and Horizon Court. So what are the current (2008) differences between these two restaurants on the Crown?

 

-Are they both buffet?

 

-Food similarities/differences?

 

-Hours of both?

 

-Is traffic congestion the same at both?

 

-Does either offer outdoor dining? (Is there outdoor dining anywhere on the Crown?)

 

-Other similarities/differences?

Yes

Themed food "Barvarian" etc.

 

-Hours of both?

 

They are close with each other (HC/Caribe) and it depends on the ship.

 

-Is traffic congestion the same at both?

 

Yes.

 

-Does either offer outdoor dining? (Is there outdoor dining anywhere on the Crown?)

 

Small seating area right outside Cafe Caribe at the aft bar.

 

-Other similarities/differences?

 

Pretty much the same as it was 3 years ago.
