lmsjt915 Posted March 21, 2012 #1 Share Posted March 21, 2012 We have arrived in fort lauderdale! Let us check in four hours early and we are laying by the pool. The shuttle runs tomorrow at four different times. the earliest being 10 am. Is that too early to go? The next is 11 and then noon etc. This is our first cruise and we are dying to get there ASAP but don't want to stand around waiting forever either. thanks! eandersen Posted March 21, 2012 #2 Share Posted March 21, 2012 ...we generally arrive at 10:30 and have had great success in getting on the ship very early. You may have a bit of a struggle getting a porter not dedicated to outgoing passengers, but other than that, things should go pretty smoothly. Have fun! Langley Cruisers Posted March 21, 2012 #3 Share Posted March 21, 2012 Go at 10 but be prepared to wait, whatever time you go. Sadly, that's going to be a part of your embarkation procedure, but hopefully it won't be too bad. The first day onboard is a day you've paid for - go early! Marie51 Posted March 21, 2012 #4 Share Posted March 21, 2012 Go at 10am and you will be on the ship for lunch.
DonnaK Posted March 21, 2012 #5 Share Posted March 21, 2012 I would either go at 10am or 11am. Boarding should start a little after 11am, unless there is an issue disembarking the previous cruise. Note that you will not have access to your cabin until 1pm, so you'll have to tote your carryons around the ship until then. We usually head on up to the Windjammer right after boarding (before it gets too crowded), and then by the time we are done eating, it is almost time for the cabins to be open. (If not, we sit outside the Promenade Cafe and people-watch until then)
mrpayroll Posted March 21, 2012 #6 Share Posted March 21, 2012 The longer you wait, the further back in line you will be....
mikeblum Posted March 21, 2012 #7 Share Posted March 21, 2012 they won't let you sleep there but i would if i could...10 and you should be prepared to wait about an hr before they start the process of EMBARKATION...and your vacation begins slowly but carefully...make sure you bring a carry on with all of the things that you think you would need before your luggage is delivered to your cabin...bathing suit...sun tan lotion...hat...sun glasses...medications...you should be able to get into your room about 1pm...so you won't have to haul your carry on all afternoon...get ready for the fire muster at 4:30 for 5pm sailing... ragtiki2004 Posted March 22, 2012 #9 Share Posted March 22, 2012 If you get there around 1 or 1:15, very short quick line. Bob
