When to Confirm Tours?

For tours that were booked 8+ months ago how long before you leave do you confirm your booking? My only concern was if something got lost then I have time now to re-book / Plan B etc before my June sailing but then I would also want to check again as it got closer....is this neurotic? :p

I assume this is independent? I did as you booked well ahead and about 6 weeks before sent a note to each vendor confirming details and asking who I was going to meet and where. YMMV

 

I assume all these folks you didn't prepay, so they are also motivated to show up and get their $

I confirmed about six weeks out and then again before leaving for the cruise.

Agree, about a month prior.

I confirmed about 3 months out and then about 2 weeks before we sailed.

 

No issue at all at any of the ports. They didn't have any upfront cash so they want to make sure that they show and collect!
