Transfer Santiago Airport to Valpo Cruise terminal

This will be my first time in South America. Am planning to do independant flights. Does anyone have any recommendations for:

1) a hotel in Santiago (then transfer from airport to hotel) and then

2) transfer the next day from hotel to Valpo for the cruise.

 

 

If a tour is included that will likely work too.

We just got back from our cruise which started in Santiago. If you decide you want a tour, I recommend Juan Carlos of Chiliean Journey for a tour and transfer. He was great, very knowledgeable and friendly. He can be reached at jcgonzalez65@hotmail dot com. If you are wine drinkers take the tour that includes 1 or 2 stops at wineries between Santiago and Valparaiso. We didn't stay in Santiago so can't help there, we stayed in Valparaiso.
