gimletgal Posted May 9, 2012 #26 Share Posted May 9, 2012 This is the closer in shot which allowed me to add all of the cabin numbers. They sure do have a "strange" numbering system on "S" Class, eh? :) Thanks again to Friend100 for taking and sharing the photos!
sunshine nana Posted June 5, 2012 #27 Share Posted June 5, 2012 Is the Silhouette aft the same as the picture?
gimletgal Posted June 6, 2012 #28 Share Posted June 6, 2012 Is the Silhouette aft the same as the picture? Stateroom numbers are different because additional cabins were added to the Silhouette. She is a larger ship.

terry55 Posted June 6, 2012 #30 Share Posted June 6, 2012 Trying to decide between 6305, 8336 and 9374 for Eclipse next spring....anyone have any thoughts?? Thank you for posting!!
rwr235 Posted June 6, 2012 #31 Share Posted June 6, 2012 Though I haven't stayed on deck six....I don't like the look of the blue panels (they sometimes are dirty) right outside the balcony...so I'd go with deck 8 or 9 !!

Friend100 Posted June 7, 2012 Author #36 Share Posted June 7, 2012 One more, this was taken on Jan 2 though, so that was before the dry dock.
maximus217 Posted June 7, 2012 #37 Share Posted June 7, 2012 Thanks for the great pictures. These help a lot in deciding which deck and room you should book. Are there any soots problem with aft S1 cabins? It seems the portholes on deck 9 and 10 are obstructed. Is that correct? :)
ORDMan Posted June 7, 2012 #38 Share Posted June 7, 2012 Is the Silhouette aft the same as the picture? Not quite. What is depicted as cabin 6311 on this photo of Solstice is 6315 on the Silhouette.
Ando Posted June 8, 2012 #39 Share Posted June 8, 2012 Though I haven't stayed on deck six....I don't like the look of the blue panels (they sometimes are dirty) right outside the balcony...so I'd go with deck 8 or 9 !! I'm surprised they didn't extend the balconies of the deck 6 cabins over the blue area and create a more expensive "large aft balcony" category. It's not like a modern cruise line to miss a revenue opportunity ;)
sunflower46 Posted June 8, 2012 #40 Share Posted June 8, 2012 Cabin 1674 will be A1 in 2014. We've booked this for New Zealand/Australia trip. I'm not sure when the change takes place. We were in this cabin last year as a C1.

swh&cv Posted June 8, 2012 #42 Share Posted June 8, 2012 does anyone know if this cabin gets any sun? it looks as though the oceanview bar completely covers it.
loryc Posted June 8, 2012 #43 Share Posted June 8, 2012 Thanks for posting this great photo. We're in 2150 on an upcoming cruise, and it looks perfect! Had aft cabins on last 2 cruises and didn't have a problem with soot or noise from overhead. The bonus of being under the outdoor dining area is full coverage over the balcony, while the lower balconies are visible from above.
Ando Posted June 9, 2012 #44 Share Posted June 9, 2012 The bonus of being under the outdoor dining area is full coverage over the balcony, while the lower balconies are visible from above. Nice to know they are fully covered on that deck, I couldn't quite tell from the pictures I had seen. We love aft balconies but not full sun exposure - DW has twice had serious Melanomas removed - so shade on the balcony is a priority for us. sddsddean Posted June 9, 2012 #45 Share Posted June 9, 2012 We're in 8344 on the Eclipse next year. Assuming the layout is the same as the Solstice and it looks like we get a bigger balcony..why? What is behind the white bit of wall? Have we got a bigger cabin too? Would be nice to think we picked the 'right' cabin for once!!:D Simon
bob278 Posted June 23, 2012 #46 Share Posted June 23, 2012 Sure. I'm glad to be able help. :) What great pictures. Thanks for sharing. May I also use one of them for my roll call web site for 2013? It's better than the picture I have. See here for how I would use it.
