just checked prices on princess.com 5/13, star coastal...balcony is cheaper than oceanview???!!!!

um, does that mean they have a ton of balconies they are trying to fill???

usually balconies are expensive and oceanview are cheaper...ideas???

I have seen that type of pricing before. I wonder how much it costs to park your car in San Francisco, and if the train would be a good way to get back from Vancouver.

If you look deeper, that cheap rate is just for a BF, which are obstructed view balconies. Pricing jumps up for all other balconies and I appears there's availability for all balcony categories. On the other hand, most oceanview categories are sold. Odd situation.

It's probably cause the weather on th Coastal's can be so "iffy" why waste your money on a balcony that can't be used:confused:

It's not that unusual, just supply and demand. There are about 2.5 times as many balconies as OVs.

Right now on the Emerald fall TA rates for balcony cabins are almost $500 less than oceanview rooms. It just depends on how cabins categories are selling. Actually the prices are higher on most categories on this cruise since we booked last month.

Our hawaii cruise for next year is currently selling full suites cheaper than Mini suites! Figure that one out?! (yes we bagged one!)
