Never been to Ft. Lauderdale, what to do?

Since we have never been to Ft. Lauderdale and we decided to stay overnight and leave the next day. Using Hilton rewards and staying at the Hilton Beach Resort. Can you tell me what not to miss while in Ft. Lauderdale?

We did the water taxi, which we really enjoyed. It takes you on a sight-seeing tour around the waterways, and you can hop-on-hop-off at any of the many stops.

WOW! The whole city is nice with the miles and miles of waterways and a water taxi to navigate thru some of them, the beach, the variety of restaurants.... Coming in from Seattle...are you arriving late?

Make sure you you try the Whiskey Blue inside of The W next door stayed there 2 years back and enjoyed it.
