Jen&Joe Posted August 23, 2012 #1 Share Posted August 23, 2012 Hello everyone! Our 3 year old doesn't drink cows milk but rather almond milk (which really isn't milk...its labeled as 'almond drink'). Anyways, we have previously brought wine and pop/soda on board but was wondering if anyone has brought almond milk on board? I'm going to call HAL tomorrow to ask too but thought I would check here first because I trust your answers :D The milk is in closed containers (like the boxes stock comes in) and doesn't have to be refrigerated until opened. Big Dawg CC Posted August 23, 2012 #2 Share Posted August 23, 2012 HAL may very well carry almond milk. We've had rice milk on our past two cruises, and I know they carry soy. Call and ask. You may not need to bring your own!
canadarocks Posted August 23, 2012 #3 Share Posted August 23, 2012 Hopefully HAL does have it, but if not you can most certainly bring your own. :)
jtl513 Posted August 23, 2012 #4 Share Posted August 23, 2012 You can bring any beverages you like except beer and hard liquor.
Jen&Joe Posted August 23, 2012 Author #5 Share Posted August 23, 2012 Thanks for the answers! I will call and see if they carry almond milk. That would make it easier!
CtheW0rld Posted August 23, 2012 #6 Share Posted August 23, 2012 if he has an issue with dairy in general, you should call ship services well in advance and let them know. they have special procedures for dietary concerns. special menus, etc.
Krazy Kruizers Posted August 23, 2012 #7 Share Posted August 23, 2012 What type of cabin are you in? I see that you are planning a cruise on the Veendam to Bermuda -- her season for doing that itinerary is nearly over. Not all cabins on the Veendam have mini refrigerators or coolers. Keep in mind that the coolers do not keep things as cool as your refrigerator at home.
sail7seas Posted August 23, 2012 #8 Share Posted August 23, 2012 Does it need refrigeration? Where would you store it?/B]
Jen&Joe Posted August 24, 2012 Author #9 Share Posted August 24, 2012 We are in a BA (leaving Sunday). It only needs refrigeration after opening and either the "cool" fridge or the bucket with ice will work. The containers are smallish so he goes through them fast. sail7seas Posted August 24, 2012 #10 Share Posted August 24, 2012 You should not have any problem about HAL permitting you to bring it aboard.
