Pushka Posted December 3, 2013 #26 Share Posted December 3, 2013 (edited) Travel Insurance Direct annual policy covers worldwide. :) I suppose we would only know how good they are when we have to make a claim. (Cross fingers) so far we haven't had to claim.:) My son's friend was in a motorbike accident in Thailand - Chiang Mai. They were insured through TID - I had purchased the policy - and they were simply brilliant! Claim acknowledged straightaway TID provided an interpreter for the family in Australia to speak with the non-English surgeons (it was a nasty accident) Operated on in Chiang Mai Transferred by ambulance to Bangkok More surgery in Bangkok My son and their other friend (not actually listed on the Policy) transported to Bangkok and put up in a Hotel and provided with food Friend eventually flown home to Australia business class My son and other friend flown home on same flight in economy Not one bill was sent to anyone. I can highly recommend TID based on their claims. Edited December 3, 2013 by Pushka

(I was going to post the comment "That's good", until I realised it could be interpreted as meaning I thought the accident was good.:D)
