jacpan Posted September 27, 2012 #1 Share Posted September 27, 2012 I just registered to manage my cruise and read throught the contract, entered my information, etc. etc. on the online check-in. I booked through a TA and when I entered and confirmed the information, at the end it said that my name change could incur an additional fee. I didn't touch my name??? Has this happened to anyone, should I not worry about it?
topspin1267 Posted September 27, 2012 #2 Share Posted September 27, 2012 Same thing happened to me yesterday. I just exited and figured I'd go back in later
Dawgfan Posted September 27, 2012 #3 Share Posted September 27, 2012 Does the name on your passport match exactly with the name you are registered with? I go by Wayne and that is what I have registered with, however that is my middle name and my passport has Jerry. I have not started online registering yet so not sure if that will happen to me or not.

My sons and husband all go by their middle names and we have always been advised to register them by their legal, and passport, names.
tfrcal Posted September 27, 2012 #5 Share Posted September 27, 2012 Same thing happend to me a while back, did not touch the name either. I just finished the check in and printed the docs and nothing came of it. I think there is a glitch somehow.

Rare crewsweeper Posted September 27, 2012 #7 Share Posted September 27, 2012 I'm wondering if this is just a boilerplate warning automatically put out so that people don't make changes after final payments. If so, and if you can print your docs and the information matches your ids, ther eshould be no problem.
SadieN Posted September 27, 2012 #8 Share Posted September 27, 2012 We had the same problem for DH and I just continued with our online checkin. Our boarding passes have the correct names on them. Afterwards I had to call Carnival and the CSR called DH by the wrong name. When I corrected her she said she spoke his correct name. It's just another brilliant programming bug. OTOH the online checkin now acknowledges Department of State as an Issuing Agency.:p
jacpan Posted September 27, 2012 Author #9 Share Posted September 27, 2012 Thank you, everyone! Yes, I think it's just a glich. My names are the same on all my documents. :)
crusinfamof4 Posted September 27, 2012 #10 Share Posted September 27, 2012 I added my middle name when I online reg'd and it said it to me. I took my middle name off. My middle name is listed on my passport-my full name is. I will take my DL, birth certificate, and passport with me if they have any questions.
