diet tonic

I found it on a transatlantic cruise to England. It was called something different, such as, light tonic, maybe our British friends could help there. Otherwise, I usually bring mine aboard and find my favorite drinking hole and have them make my drinks with it. Also, not as good, but better caloriewise than all regular tonic, is club soda with a splash of tonic, affectionately called a "sonic".

I thought tonic had zero calories. How many can it possibly have? It's just water with quinine (yuck) added to it.

Tonic water also has sweetener in it, thus the calories. Never had a taste for it when I was younger, but now I'll drink it (the diet kind) with fresh lime squeezed in, with or without the gin.
