bdklein Posted December 14, 2012 #1 Share Posted December 14, 2012 Do we think they will go up, down or remain about the same for 2013? 2014? I realize it's hard to predict, and supply and demand comes into play, but curious how rates on new ships seem to go once the ship begins to sail. Thanks in advance for any and all information. We are booked for an April school break in 2014.
#1TravelMom Posted December 18, 2012 #2 Share Posted December 18, 2012 I'm really hoping they come down. I'm really disappointed in how high they are compared to the Epic's Inaugural season. It's great that we could drive to the pier, but the rates are just very high.

Gunner22aa Posted December 18, 2012 #4 Share Posted December 18, 2012 If the ship is a hit and sells out on a constant basis expect prices to stay where they are or perhaps rise a bit. If the bad reviews start to flood this and other cruise web sites the shine might wear off a bit and prices will be forced down. No company is going to sell you something for $100 if there are people lined up to pay $200. Right now one can just sit back and watch what happens. paul929207 Posted December 18, 2012 #5 Share Posted December 18, 2012 There seems to be improvement in the US economey. If this continues and we avoid the Fiscal Cliff, demand for most products including cruises will improve. This would tend to increase prices.
