Find an ATM when you get off the plane in Barcelona. The airport has plenty.

 

Be sure to tell your bank that you will be traveling in Europe, countries, dates, etc.

ATM is the best way. The exchange rate is normally better than the machines on the cruises. And I can echo to please remember to call the number on your debit cards and credit cards. I did that with no problems, my SIL however just told her local branch. Her card ended up blocked.

ATM's are the best way to get local currency. And if you change currency don't do it at airport or in the cruise ship - you surely get the worst rates from there. Local banks would be most reliable for the change.

I assume you mean at an exchange kiosk. The ATM machines at the airport are usually put there by local or international banks and offer the same exchange rates as one at a bank.

Ofcourse. Have never seen ATM which changes currency. :)
