Bottled drinks, sodas, wine,

No limit...cases are allowed, but discouraged for curbside loading along with luggage, due to possible breakage. At some ports converyors are used and at others, large metal cages where bags are piled 10 high. Common sense would say as much as you can carry on yourself. If it were me, I wouldn't hesitate to bring two cases for a two week cruise, but I certainly would tip the stevedore accordingly so that he would not throw the "good stuff" in with luggage.

We never encountered any discouragement for checking cases of wine.

Tipping the stevedore may only guarantee it loaded in one piece into one of the luggage loading cases - after that it is handled by ship crew, I believe.
