Picnic Lunch for going to Port

New Zealand ports had the cutest beagle sniffer dogs- and they were very good- in the morning- we had gone to a chocolate factory- came back- emptied my tote bag- we were going back ashore- and the little darling smelled the left over chocolate- came over- sat by my side- until the handler came over- and they took a really good look at all the items in my bag- they were very serious about it- and there had been announcements-

I would not carry any foods off the ship- not worth it- and those laws are there for a reason - rlblack

It usually is because they can source the ingredients and be reasonably sure no cross contamination has occurred on the ship. That said, if you take one with raisins or dried fruit you may find they don't allow it.

I will bring one of the small boxes of the packaged cereal from the buffet, unopened. I assume this is OK, but I always tell them about it, anyway. I've never had to throw it away.
