Royal caribbean Transfers

Yes. It was very convenient for my husband and myself. It was a little pricy, but our travel agent set it up, as she does everything for us, so we enjoy not having to deal with renting cars, getting a taxi, etc. We have used RCCL transfers for all our cruises so far:)

Yes. We use Royals transfers every cruise! It's so simple and convenient for us. Usually the hotel has a designated area and you just show up when they tell you and wait for the bus. There are times where you stop at other hotels or the airport but then you are on your way. It's about a 45 minute trip to the pier. For us it's nice because we don't have to worry about anything, just show up and go !

My last experience with the shuttle service from Port Canaveral back to the airport I would never take it again.

I know you can have a hit and miss...of things. But when they hire people that treated customers like they did and just said sorry after I wrote a letter complaining about it.

Reason was...it was hot day and we all got on the bus..had to wait and no air conditioning on....we kept thinking ok once we are on our way we wil have it. No...we would all say turn on the air conditioning ...he ignored us...and I was only about 4 or 5 seats back so it wasn't that he didn't hear us. I got to the point there was no air and sweating that I was getting sick. By the time we got to the airport he said that he was going to take all the lugage out before we are permitted to get off the bus. That he gets off and close the door....well we all were getting really upset and this one man started to hit the window to get the bus driver attention and he would not pay any attention to us. Well then the man got so upset and went to the door and pounded and ended up smashing the window. I was so thankful when we finally got off and the bus driver and guy was yelling at each other.

I have since then stay at a hotel at cocoa beach that will shuttle you from the airport and take you to the cruise and back to the airport that there is no way I would go back to that!

WOW what a horrible experience. I can not believe RC would allow this kind of behavior from a driver. Not that I dont believe you but that is totally unacceptable for anyone to allow that. I would have called RC while on the bus and informed them. And I would think it is against the law for him to get off the bus and not allow the passengers off and close the door. I was thinking of using RC transfers this may but will now reconsider.

I think they make you sit on the bus when at the airport for two reasons,

-----so not everyone is grabbing for their bags before they are all out.

-----but, more importantly tips!

Later

They did it to us.......no air even at port and we had to wait till the bus was completely full, closed door, not one penny from us, and I told him why.

It was Oct 23 2011 I looked back on my emails and I sent my complaint to crown and anchor when I got back. They just apologized that the company they hire acted and treated us this way. I at the time never gave it a thougth to call them. I know I felt kinda sad for the guy cause he was showing the anger that we all felt but he acted out on it. But as we was going in to the airport the bus driver and passenger was being escorted into the airport. I wonder what ever happen and if he got to fly out that day. I realize this may of been a very rare occasion but it really upset us to think someone a bus driver could be like this. I wanted RCCI to know what kind of person they had driving their bus...I have no ideal if anything was done with the driver. But I know they would of known which driver it was due to the broken window and them going into the airport I imagine there was reports done.

I just now think the cost of the shuttle it is just better to do it the way I do now.

But I wish you the best, I had used it before this and never had trouble...so you may never have trouble at all....I wish you the best and hope no one ever has to go through an experience like this.

I had really hoped our time was the only time this every happen. I know we also had to wait until the bus was full...and that is a very long ride not to have any air. No way tip from us I don't think one person gave him a tip...

Travelynx is the shuttle service the motel use that we just did this past Oct with the Hampton and would do it again that way.

We are thinking of taking a short cruise out of Port Canaveral this August--we have to be in Orlando anyway for a meeting, so thought to take advantage of the opportunity to cruise. Will be staying close to Disney and will need transportation to the ship from the hotel and then returned to the airport. Usually we go with the cruise company transportation, but do not wish to deal with being held prisoner on a bus with no air conditioning in August. Not a good way to start or end a vacation. Do the other companies suggested leave out of Orlando or just Cocoa Beach? Thanks.

Travelynx I would go with...they will do transfers and they also do the transfers for alot of the motels in Cocoa Beach that do transfrer and motel package deal...

In the beginning we used to be set up with Transfers, but after sitting around at the Hotel awaiting our turn to be taken to the cruise terminal until 1 PM , we said never again, now we get a cab of if we get enough people, set up our own shuttle and go when we want. Going back to the airport can be a problem in as much as that bus needs to wait on everyone else requiering it. In seattle we were late getting in and there was no way our bus could get us to the airport for a 3:30 flight and being 30 min away. I felt for those already sitting on the bus.

I have done the shuttle in Boston came in that day and was shuttle service to the ship....and never had problems with it..I just don't think I could do it again if I plan to spend the night before the cruise. I think it is cheaper to do the package with a hotel on your own.

I wanted to mention that we were booked on a rransfer and our flight was almost 90 minutes late almost a half hour after the last bus was supposed to leave when we got on the Monarch. The transfer waited for us. It was one of the most relieved moments I've ever had bevause I wasn't sure if we would make the 90 minute cutoff if we had to get a cab in the long cab line.

ANOTHER OPTION...

For all 5 of the cruises we've done out of Port Canaveral, we stayed at the Radisson and had the Radisson shuttle bring us over. They also have a package where you can keep your car there (which is a LOT cheaper than parking it in the cruise lot). It's been great/convenient for us every time!

Good luck!

I don't come in the same day...so that wouldn't be a concern of mine. But for someone that is in that schedule may want to have their reservations through RCCI transfer and them booking your airfare.
