Tomato53 Posted February 20, 2013 #1 Share Posted February 20, 2013 We'll be disembarking the Silhouette on Sunday, March 10th. I see that is the first day of daylight saving time. Do you think disembarkation will be any earlier that day or will the schedule reflect the time change? We have a later flight and are in no hurry to get off the ship any sooner than we have to. tia
Rare cruisestitch Posted February 20, 2013 #2 Share Posted February 20, 2013 Ship time will be shore time. They probably will not adjust the disembarkation in any way due to the beginning of Daylight Saving Time

constantcruiser Posted February 20, 2013 #4 Share Posted February 20, 2013 I agree...and since you'll miss an hour of your cruise due to the time change, you deserve a full refund!
Tomato53 Posted February 20, 2013 Author #5 Share Posted February 20, 2013 Thanks all, you're right about losing the hour. constantcruiser - I will be looking into compensation due to the lost hour :). That's why I would never do an eastbound TA, losing that hour every day:)

BEAV Posted February 21, 2013 #8 Share Posted February 21, 2013 Since you're on the Eastern Caribbean itinerary, does Celebrity "spring forward" during the first part of the voyage to take into account the 1 hour time difference between Florida and San Juan, St Thomas, etc? If that's the case, you simply wouldn't get that hour back on the westbound sail back to Ft Lauderdale like you would on a "normal" week. ????? Thanks BEAV - That makes sense to me, we'll see how it goes. Not a big deal, I tend to "over-plan".
