Oreo,

Yes D emailed me the other day I was surprised because I didn’t even think he knew my whole name, since it's long and hyphenated. I heard about your ride back home and I'm really glad we stopped in Tallahassee and didn't drive straight back.

I am looking at a variety of cruises for June. Since the water was a LITTLE cold we really didn’t get our “Beach” day in Nassau; I was looking at the 3 day on the Sensation or the Imagination. However, the 5 day on the Victory looked so tempting…. (Grand Turk, Half Moon Cay & Nassau) But, all that talking about the 8day Freedom and 8day Breeze has gotten my husband all excited. We shall see……

I wanted to go on the Inaugural Cruise out of New Orleans on the Sunshine. It’s a 6 day cruise and it goes to Grand Cayman and Cozumel. The itinerary isn’t that great but I hope that all the amenities on the Sunshine will make up for that.

Thanks for a very entertaining review. I love your sense of humor.

I have family in Houston and Port Arthur...so I know your hometown pretty good. Hubby and I live in Northern California so when you mentioned Lake Tahoe, I knew you had been on this side too.

Looking forward to our Breeze cruise in July. Hope to meet you in the casino one day. I am going for those millions too!

All the best!

Traci

Hey Traci!! Its a small world. I have a really good college friend that's from "P.A." As a matter of fact, I haden't spoken to her in a while so thanks for the reminder.

Thanks for reading my review and for the kind words!

Okay. That sounds good. The SUNSHINE looks like the BREEZE on steroids. I don't think you can go wrong there. We may try and shoot for the one out of New Orleans but for New Year's. I think that would be fun although D may balk at going on a cruise before you guys have to go back to work so we also shall see... ;).

It's a word play on one of those naughty little four little words I like to use. I think Snoop Doggy Dogg coined the phrase, lol. Trying to follow the rules, ya know?!

Thanks again for reading.

Thank you! Not up on Snoop Dogg obviousy.:)

I hope someday I am lucky enough to meet you on a cruise, that would be a blast. Thanks again.

You flatter me. I'm really quite boring...lol. My personality only really comes out in my writing...go figure.

Great review. We'll be on the Breeze over New Years. In the meantime, tell hubby not to worry-BIG BLUE NATION has reloaded.

Haha! What? I thought that they lost and are out of the NCAA tourney?

Hey Pam!! It was great meeting you too. Hubby said yall had a blast in the nightclub but I was too busy hitting the Casino trying to become the next Cash Money Millionaire!! BTW, how did you like the spa cabin? Was it worth it?

TTYL

Haha yea we had lots of fun people watching, spring break is very entertaining. I hope you had some luck in the Casino! The Spa Cabin is VERY big and beautiful, BUT it is WAYYYYY to noisy! I don't even know where half the noises were coming from. In the AM the Cabin Stewards closet was next to my room and my lord they start early. I know I party till 5am but Id at least like to sleep till 9am, that definitely didnt happen in 11204. I had lots of movement, but nothing too bad. I`ll have to post pics of the Cabin

I’m sorry to have to say this and it goes against every principal in my body but our waiters were like Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde. One guy, whose shall remain nameless – NOT!! – ANTHONY FROM KINGSTON, JAMAICA!!!!! was really moody for the first few days. One minute he was smiling, the next he was frowning…I don’t know if he had gas or what. At any rate, his assistant, I Kopenga, (sp?) was AWESOME and very consistent. He mostly just took our orders and brought our dessert so we didn’t have a whole lot of experience with him but he was very friendly, had a pleasant disposition, and even remembered us when we dined at other restaurants on the ship. Anyway, back to Anthony. So we were this ______ close to asking the maitre d to reseat us but considering the fact that we may have had to become separated from our new BFF’s (and potentially forfeit free legal counsel for the rest of our natural lives) we decided to stick it out. Around the 3rd night, we decided to force Anthony to get over himself and after a few attempts at asking him about his family and where he was from, he magically became the best waiter of all-time of a sudden and we had stellar service from him the rest of the cruise. See, you really do get more flies with honey. I guess everybody is entitled to a bad day and maybe that was the case for him. But seriously, he really redeemed himself by night three and all was well after that. Let’s see, what’s next? Oh yes, the FOOD PORN. Sorry to get your hopes up but I really didn’t spend a lot of time taking pictures of food. I was too busy eating it. I will, however, attempt to describe to you what I thought was the best and the worst.

Here goes. On a scale of 1-10:

MDR: 8.5

Guy’s: 10

Cantina: 6

LIDO (Buffet): 7.5

Cucina del Capitano: 9

Pizza Place: 6.5

Bonsai Sushi: 0 (okay, I didn’t try any because I think its gross but this is my review so I can put whatever number I want so nanny nanny boo boo!!)

Red Frog Pub: 8

Fahrenheit 555: Missed it but heard it was very good.

Room Service: For what they had, I’ll give them a 6.5

Comedy Brunch: 9.5 Oh, wait, I do have a picture of the breakfast. Stand by…

We disembarked the Breeze on Feb. 24 on an 8 day Southern Caribbean. We literally had the worst table in Blush. We were not even part of the main dining room. We were surrounded by three walls and the waiter station in front of us. When we asked for milk for the 2 year old with us, Anthony (from Jamaica) actually rolled his eyes. Everyone at the table saw it. We only dined twice there and never went back. We were never offered the dessert menu or coffee and were made to feel most unwelcome. Ate most of our meals at the specialty restaurants.

Are you serious? That sounds like our Anthony...the same waiter we had from KINGSTON, JAMAICA, also in the Blush dining room. But I guess we were able to whip him in to shape. I am sure, in defense of Carnival, that he is an anamoly (sp?). I have never had an issue with any of the other staff on board. Nobody's perfect but he was definitely doin the most!!! I'm glad you didn't let his little pitty attitude ruin the rest of your trip!

Thanks for reading my review.

This is my morning to get caught up on reviews and I'm loving yours. Can't believe it's your first review as you are doing an amazing job. Love your little human too, she is just adorable!!

Sukky sukky now!! That brought back great memories for me. We had turned our camera on one of the photographer with him doing is sukky sukky now pose and every time my kids see his picture they would laugh and relive the moment. I only stopped and posed for 2 pictures on my breeze b2b and they both made it to the hall of fame. Folks on our roll call told us it was there as we never check the pictures coz don't usually pose for any.

I'm gonna get some popcorn and come back and enjoy the ride.

So this is where we would get our first glimpse of our SUPER COOL, SUPER EXCITING, SUPER FRIENDLY, SUPER ENTERTAINING, & SUPER FUN cruise director, Mr. Butch Begovich – I think that’s his name. This guy…man, this guy. He was what word can I use to describe him? Ahh, I’ve got it. SUPER!! Seriously though, this guy ran circles around the kids that were hopped up on sugar, lemonade and 4 helpings of warm chocolate melting cake. His energy was off the charts. He would literally stand up on one of the benches at the beach pool and jump around doing the cupid shuffle, wobble, electric slide, cabbage patch, roger rabbit – and do it with his own little twists. I was really impressed. For a white boy from MINNESOTA he really had mad skills!! It was something to behold. I’ve never laughed so hard or had so much fun. He would participate in most of the games held on the Lido deck when he wasn’t playing game show host in the Ovation Theatre or hosting seminars. One night in the Comedy Club he came in and had to “put them paws” on a guy who was really drunk and potentially disturbing the rest of the crowd before the show started. He did it all. Customer service manager to concierge to entertainer, and top flight security guard. And the games. Oh my goodness. There is something to be said about a guy who fiercely competed in a contest to see who could “poop” the most pebbles into a plastic cup (those who were on board know what I’m referring to). That’s job dedication. And not to mention the fact that I saw him take a jump fully clothed into the Beach pool at one point. It was wild!! We had a blast. He was definitely by far, hands down the best cruise director we’ve ever hard or heard of. Sadly, if I heard correctly, I believe he is leaving Carnival after x amount of years to pursue his master’s degree. I don’t know where I heard this but if its true those to follow will really be missing out. Sad face.

OMG!!! I also thought Butch was the best CD I have had with Jamie D at a close second. That man can move. My son keeps doing Butch's moves at home. I hope he is still there when we are back on the Breeze in December.

We had no other trouble with any of the staff on board. It was one of our best cruises. We loved that ship. I'm pretty sure it was the same Anthony. Oh well, there were plenty of other places to eat on the ship which we preferred anyway. Loving your review!

All done and what a review. You had me cracking up at so many parts.

Thanks for taking the time to write this review.

Thanks so much for stopping by. I just got three emails today from people that were on the cruise with who sent me a bunch of candid pictures they took of me and my husband while we were on some of our excursions. I had no idea they had even taken the pictures. I really wish I would have had the when I started the review as they were fantastic.

Anyhow, thanks again for reading and HAPPY CRUISING!
