caribou crossing????

I ate at Caribou Crossing on our tour to the Yukon. We were pleasantly surprised by the meal. We had barbeque chicken, baked potato, (I think) slaw, and rolls. They also had doughnuts. Tea was included; you had to pay extra for soft drinks.

we weren't on a tour...we had a rental car and stopped here to see the dogs so we went to eat and they only sell the bbq chicken to those on their own if they have extra from the tours...they did for us at $10/person which for us didn't include a drink. It wasn't worth it. I would suggest making a sandwhich on the ship and packing it.

The donuts were homemade, hot, fresh, and delicious. The main problem we had at Caribou crossing was that the folks running it seemed to think we weren't being fed on the cruise ship. Granted quality can vary greatly in this type of setting but what we had was great. If they charged $10.00 a head to independents, it is by Alaska standards a bargain. I've seen grilled cheese for that much.
