What did you think of the balcony in your stateroom? Saw the chairs turned sideways in your picture, they seem so small from pics shown in many cases.

Yeah I can't sugar coat it - it's small. I like spending a lot of time on the balcony. We had the chairs turned sideways because they had to be.

 

The balcony really unnerved me because of how narrow it was.

This picture shows the gaming room for 10-12's. I pulled the copy of the "Dolphins" Splash Academy pages and it says "Nintendo Wii U Action - join us for a night of gaming action...."

No extra costs for ropes or spider or bungee right? I was surprised to see cost for pool table and bowling

 

Also- anyone know the sleeping situation for deck 14 Balcony rooms? Says it sleeps four but no confirmation can i find about pullman overhead. There is no way my 11 and 7 yo will share. We sail june 30!

My wife joked it is in keeping with the NYC theme, the small apartments you ind all over the city

Tinkandpan - from everything that I have seen - all of the quads have the berth that drops from the ceiling and the sofa that converts into a bed. I haven't seen anything that contradicts that. Your kids won't be sleeping together.

There is a mini golf course under the ropes course

 

 

 

And up the stairs from the spider web (and ropes course) is the basketball court

The slides - The Whip is the racing slides, the Free Fall is just that - a free fall that counts down 3,2,1 before the floor drops out beneath you. It was too cold for me to personally try it but there were a few brave souls onboard.

 

 

 

 

Of course - no diapers in the kids pool. (Potty trained kids only) No change in that. And no children under 12 unaccompanied.

Hmmmh, interesting to read because that is exactly what I'd been thinking to myself when viewing some of the balcony shots. I'm not sure how I'd feel shimming along the balcony railing in order to sit down.

 

I'd be doubly nervous if my daughter was out there with me too.

 

Those aft mini suites are sure looking good now:D

While waiting for our 9pm dinner reservations at Cagneys - we went to the "Family Show" of Second City. Just as funny at the toned down version. There were no kids at the show (only 13 onboard the entire ship). But they had the family edition anyway. I had tears streaming. It's a great improv comedy show, if you have never seen them - add it to your schedule.

 

 

"Awesome 80's Party/Fireworks"

 

Pack your 80's clothes for this one! Some were totally decked out in everything 80's! I look for this party to get more and more extreme each cruise as it catches on.

 

 

And the fireworks off the side of the ship!

Are any of the slides 2-person? my son is 3 and about 38 inches or so? Are there any slides for him? He keeps saying he is going on the slides and I keep telling him they may just be for grown ups. :( Poor little guy. LOL

Sorry to say - I don't think so :(

 

The whip and the free falls both say "one rider" and the height minimums are taller than your son.

 

His only option would be the tiny blue slide at the spongebob pool. But it is something :)

Hold that thought! Looking at my pics again there is a smaller slide that goes between the other 4 - it's blue. I have some people onboard checking the height on that one. ;)

We booked a mid-ship room so it would be easy to get back to the room and change my baby girl but it would be nice to know where they are located just in case we need one in a pinch. And if there aren't any around we don't have to waste time looking.
