Casablanca or Marrakech?

Our ship will be docked in Casablanca at 7 AM and will be leaving at 9:30 PM. Marrakech is 3 hours drive one way. Is it worth spending 6 hours in the car (maybe even more than 6 hours)? Or does it make more sense to have Casablanca private tour?

For us it was. Seeing the countryside was nice and Marakesh is a very interesting city

Having been to both, I vote absolutely for Marrakech. It's a much more interesting city.

Marrakech is 3 hours away from Casablanca. The most important thing in this case is timely return back to the ship. Have you taken private (and what are the guarantees?) or ship tour for your own safety?

We did the ship excursion instead of a private tour for that very reason, even though it was more expensive. The next port was 600 miles away in the Madeira Islands, so we thought the extra money was well worth it to make sure that we either wouldn't get left behind or, if we were, that HAL would get us to Funchal at their expense.
