Thank you for contacting Carnival Cruise Lines. We received your e-mail message and appreciate the opportunity to be of assistance.

Under the CHEERS! Beverage Program, guests can enjoy a wide variety of wine, beer and spirits, along with sodas and non-alcoholic frozen cocktails throughout the voyage at one convenient, flat rate. The cost for this program is $49.95 per person, per day plus a 15% gratuity added on at the time of purchase of the program.

With the new purchase of this program, you will enjoy the ease and convenience of paying one flat price for your spirited beverages (yep, that’s with alcohol) all cruise long. Simply use your newly-stickered Sail & Sign Card and you’re ready to enjoy!

Beverages included in the program are:

All spirits (including cocktails), as well as beer and wine by the glass with a $10.00 or lower menu price.

Sodas and non-alcoholic frozen cocktails.

25% discount off the menu price for bottled water.

25% discount off the menu price for any spirits or wine above $10.00 per drink.

25% discount off the menu price for wine and champagne by the bottle.

We do not have any kind of package deal for bottled water, and coffee is complimentary up on the lido deck through out the day and in the restaurant for each meal.

I hope that this helps, and that you have a GREAT day!

Thank you again for allowing us to be of assistance. If there is anything else we can do for you, please don't hesitate to ask.

Sincerely,

So is there no more 15 limit? Not that I need over 15, LOL...just curious since it does not mention the prior drink limit!

Good point. I'm wondering that as well. We'll be on the Splendor in 16 days and I plan on getting the package. (Not saying I can drink more than 15 per day, mind you... ). I do like my wine, though!

Anyone know the new limits?

If that's a direct email from Carnival, I would say no more limit!!!!!! :D

But probably not :(

They just updated this on the TA's site which now says $49.95 + gratuity and still says 15 drink limit in a 24hr period.

Applicable state & local taxes will be applied if purchased within US waters.

Here if Florida, that would be another 6% so I am waiting until late that evening to purchase.

hopefully it was just an omission. I like to throw 'em back just as much as the next person. But I see no reason why anyone needs more than 15 drinks in a day.

It's not a matter of need. It's quite easy to have more than 15 drinks in a 24 hour period....

I'm generally up and have a Bloody Mary or Mimosa with breakfast by 10am...if I only have one drink an hour (2 per hour for wine during dinner) and I'm up playing in the casino until 1-2am.......that's more than 15 drinks per day.......and that's only 1 drink per houre which almost anybody can metabolise without feeling or being intoxicated.

You have to build your own bucket of beer under the program. They can only serve you one beer (drink) every 5 minutes....that's an issue for beer drinkers that like to hang out at the pool.........

As for a barmenu you can probably find one on Sarge's website.

We just cruised in May and purchased the cheers card. We found the loop hole. If you stop at 14 drinks and then pay for your drinks after that you do not get cut off. If you reach your 15 limit with the cheers card you are done even if you want to purchase a drink.

It depends on what county you are in. Could be as high as 7%.

I hear you. Not a beer drinker. I was thinking 15 of more what I like, which is cocktails. I would get Cheers if they offered it on the Sensation, but they don't. :(

I'm going on the splendor on July 4 and was going to get the drink package but if its 15 a day that's going to be a problem.... Do they cut you off and not serve you even if you are willing to pay... Is there any way around it? I saw someone say that after the 14 drink just start paying for them but how will they let me pay for them if they see that I have the package please help

I have never been cut off. The bartenders have always found a way to go ahead and serve me, but it's never more than a few....What I've found to happen is that during the day I'm pretty concious of how many drinks I've ordered.......but when I would ask, knowing that I had already had say 8 drinks, they would come back and say I had only had 5......I don't look a gift horse in the mouth, so I just say thank you........:p

The only thing you can pay for outside of the per drink Cheers Program are bottles of wine or Premium liqours.......I don't know how those reflect against your 15 drink limit......but during the day you can order a drink under your 15 drink limit and give it to someone else, but you can't order 2 drinks at the same time......you have to wait 5 minutes before you can order another drink.
