Outlet question

Recommended Posts

I just want to check in. I am hearing there are very few outlets. Is this really true? What do you do to accommodate this? I have only sailed Princess and never had issues with a lack of outlets. Perhaps this is a big deal about nothing? No flaming, just a question.

Thank you :)

Most ships have only 2 US 110V and 1 Euro 220V outlets. We bring one of these to help with the lack of outlets:

I can only answer to Oasis...we just got off the ship yesterday.

They had a "hub" with plenty of outlets. It wasn't the # of outlets. It was the location. They were all located in the same place...on the other side of the room away from the bed. To charge a phone, e-reader...whatever, it was fine. But if you needed something to plug in right by the bed, you are out of luck.

Yeah I'm trying to remember, I think it's been a few yrs, but we sailed on two diff Vision class ships and I know for sure one on the desk/vanity. DH seems to think there was one bedside but not totally sure.

What ship are you sailing/thinking of sailing on Leith?

Thank you for the feedback. I guess you can't read my mind that I am sailing on Jewel in October. :)

On the Allure there is an outlet behind the bed. I used this for my cpap machine. Had to pull the bed away from the wall to find it. I don't know if the Oasis have these or not but will find out next Mar. Have not had these on the smaller Ships.

Actually, there is an outlet located right by the bed on the Oasis; it is hidden behind the mattress.

I believe what type of stateroom you have can make a difference...we always stay in a GS and never have a problem with the # of outlets....

although you have to learn where they are...behind furniture, etc
