leith Posted June 24, 2013 #1 Share Posted June 24, 2013 I just want to check in. I am hearing there are very few outlets. Is this really true? What do you do to accommodate this? I have only sailed Princess and never had issues with a lack of outlets. Perhaps this is a big deal about nothing? No flaming, just a question. Thank you :)

Thank you :) Most ships have only 2 US 110V and 1 Euro 220V outlets. We bring one of these to help with the lack of outlets:
Brutus66 Posted June 24, 2013 #3 Share Posted June 24, 2013 I can only answer to Oasis...we just got off the ship yesterday. They had a "hub" with plenty of outlets. It wasn't the # of outlets. It was the location. They were all located in the same place...on the other side of the room away from the bed. To charge a phone, e-reader...whatever, it was fine. But if you needed something to plug in right by the bed, you are out of luck.
NYCRUISR Posted June 24, 2013 #4 Share Posted June 24, 2013 Bring an adapter to alleviate your concerns.
Bbandeegrl Posted June 24, 2013 #5 Share Posted June 24, 2013 Yeah I'm trying to remember, I think it's been a few yrs, but we sailed on two diff Vision class ships and I know for sure one on the desk/vanity. DH seems to think there was one bedside but not totally sure. Sent using the Cruise Critic forums app

twochromic Posted June 24, 2013 #8 Share Posted June 24, 2013 I always travel with a short 3-foot extension cord. Lack of outlets is often a problem all over the world. Sometimes the extension gets plugged into my voltage converter. It gets used on nearly every trip.
cb at sea Posted June 24, 2013 #9 Share Posted June 24, 2013 I've found that few things need to be plugged in 24/7...so plug and unplug as needed!
macrc Posted June 24, 2013 #10 Share Posted June 24, 2013 On the Allure there is an outlet behind the bed. I used this for my cpap machine. Had to pull the bed away from the wall to find it. I don't know if the Oasis have these or not but will find out next Mar. Have not had these on the smaller Ships.
SPacificbound Posted June 24, 2013 #11 Share Posted June 24, 2013 We brought an adapter and a short extension cord when we were on Rhapsody. The extension cord did not make it to our cabin but the adapter did. We ended up not needing either as there were enough outlets in our GS.
