Two questions... Can parents also receive access to their minor children's staterooms? And, in a 3 person room with a trundle bed. Do they roll it up for you everyday? Does it get in the way?

 

We've always only ever got one room and the kids were with us. This year... Two rooms!

The steward will put the trundle bed away each morning and set it up again each night.

Does that mean your minor children are in a cabin by themselves (no adults)?

Yes, you go to guest services and ask for key cards for their room/s. EM

I believe that you will have to register as one adult and one minor in each room, but you are not obliged to use this configuration for sleeping!

 

And yes, you will be able to get a card (or one each) to the kids' room.

Thanks everyone! And there will be a grandparent with the kids. As safe as we always feel onboard. I still like an adult with my kids. :)

Carnival has Rollaways and Trundles.

 

A trundle is like a pallet It sits an inch off the ground and can be stored under the bed. It is good for those under four-and-ahalf feet tall.

 

A rollaway is exactly like we have at home. The room steward will fold it up during the day.

 

 

If you are in an OV or IS cabin you might have more room (especially at night) if the beds are kept as twins, one under the window and the other along one wall
