sju to the port

I am well aware this is not a good idea but with work there is nothing we could do, flyying in the same ay as the cruisee

 

what is the best way to get to the port from sju

Taxi. Should be about 20.00 plus 1.00 per bag. Head out of baggage claim, the taxi line is right there. You'll be on your way in minutes:)

We too are arriving the day of. There are six of us. Will we be able to all get in the same taxi? Are there vans? Do you know an approx cost per person for budgeting. Greatly appreciated.

When you exit baggage claim there's a huge taxi line. Get in it. When you are about 60% of the way through it, somebody with a clip board asks how many in your party & pulls the big groups toward the vans.

If you have no choice but to arrive the day of, try to get the earliest possible direct flight.

I've always been very lucky getting in and out of SJU airport- never experienced a long line for the taxis. Uusually, we are loaded into a cab within a matter of minutes.

 

Kate- there are plenty of van-sized cabs, so you should have no problem getting your entire party in one cab.

 

Hopefully, you have an early flight to allow for any possible delays. You can check into the ship around noon or even earlier even if you have a late departure.

 

It is really worth it to fly in a day or two early and enjoy a day visiting Old San Juan. There is plenty to see and do- like getting a bonus port!
