Giantfan13 Posted August 2, 2013 #1 Share Posted August 2, 2013 Before we cruised, I asked a question if one could redeem their OBC for cash if it wasn't used by the end of the cruise. I was by the good people here, NO, but by going thru the casino, you could get cash for any OBC. Here's what you need to do. Pick a nice slot machine and insert your ship's card in it. It will prompt you to fund your account. It will ask you to create a PIN number and after you do that it will ask you how much money (up to $300) you want to put into your account. All you need to do is play a few spins and then take your card out and mosey over to the cashier and cash out. They will then give you cash for what you now have in your account. No if's and's or but's about it. Cheers Len
firefly333 Posted August 2, 2013 #2 Share Posted August 2, 2013 Price drops are refundable OBC and all you had to do is go to the pursers desk and ask for it in cash. Only promo OBC is nonrefundable and most people dont have enough of it they dont spend it. Lots of people dont seem to know yet that price drops, your own money .. is refundable. They will either give you a check at the end or you can ask for it in cash, take you pick. There is no need to get it out at the casino. If you are a gambler, there is no harm doing it this way.. I got reemed for telling someone else that its unnecessary .. so do it if YOU want.
kicia Posted August 2, 2013 #3 Share Posted August 2, 2013 Early Saver price drops are fully refundable. Stockholder credit, future cruise certificate credit, and Milestone credits are non-refundable. You can use any of these credits for anything on your Sign and Sail card - gratuities, drinks, shops, shore excursions, and the casino. If you still have non-refundable on board credit then yes you have to use the slot machine trick. You must actually play the machine at least a little bit or you will be shut off after the first or second try.
Jewels-TruCruiseDiva Posted August 4, 2013 #4 Share Posted August 4, 2013 The confusion is not just on us. We got an OBC because the price dropped after we had paid in full and I was specifically told that we had to spend it or leave it behind by the carnival employee. We have almost $800 but between the tips, steak house and soda card we figure that leaves us $275 so you are saying I can just go up to the customer service and get that in cash? dakine_wahine Posted August 4, 2013 #7 Share Posted August 4, 2013 You can also go to the self-serve kiosk and take out the OBC as cash. I have done this on my last three cruises.

ccruisequeen Posted August 4, 2013 #9 Share Posted August 4, 2013 You can also go to the self-serve kiosk and take out the OBC as cash. I have done this on my last three cruises. The kiosk will also put it on a gift card for your next carnival cruise!
