Ummmm....

I don't know quite how to break the news to you... .

...QM2 is a much larger vessel than the one you posted above.

And has a large orange-red funnel :D .

I'm trying to identify the vessel in your picture...

:)

oops!:D

I think it could be Quest for Adventure which was in port the same day (4th August). Some photos have it with an orange funnel, others with a blue funnel.

Glad to hear that someone at least got over quickly however for the vast majority on the ship there was a very very very long que. This was the most shambolic tendering exercise I have seen on any cruise line.

Open tendering did not start until 12.45 as announced from the bridge so many people lost a full morning sitting around waiting.

As I say glad someone at least had a decent experience.

Yes, Quest for Adventure, thank you! :) .

The SAGA Deep Yellow/Orange funnel changed to Blue in December 2012, according to Wikipedia (if you can believe Wikipedia). She was SAGA Pearl II and will be so again, late this year.

Thanks again :) .

I'm the "sad" poster who did not go ashore as I believed nothing was open. We have visited Guernsey previously and so have been to the museums etc. However, we had been led to believe that coffee shops would not be open either as Guernsey has strict Sunday trading laws. never mind - at least we avoided the queues and the bumpy ride :D

just as an aside, we had been 'upgraded' to a sheltered balcony on Deck 4 aft and, unfortunately, although the cabin was lovely there was a lot of noise from the Queens Room and G32- so much so that our mattress vibrated while we were trying to sleep  Luckily this stopped around 12.30/1.00am so it wasn't too bad - but with different or much younger clientele, we might not have been so lucky.

Would definitely like to voyage on this ship again.

Alison
