Bracarense Posted August 16, 2013 #1 Share Posted August 16, 2013 Hello everyone, I wouldl like to know if there's a minimum age limit to get inside the Ice Bar on Epic. Do they provide "protection" for the younger ones? Thank you all.
SliceOfLife Posted August 16, 2013 #2 Share Posted August 16, 2013 Hello everyone, I wouldl like to know if there's a minimum age limit to get inside the Ice Bar on Epic. Do they provide "protection" for the younger ones? Thank you all. No age limit, they have non-alcoholic beverages. I don't know what you mean by protection? The parkas? They have several sizes to fit people.
Rare LittleMissMagic Posted August 16, 2013 #3 Share Posted August 16, 2013 Anyone can go in, but it's a $20 cover (includes 2 drinks).
Bracarense Posted August 16, 2013 Author #4 Share Posted August 16, 2013 Thank you all. I was referring to the parkas.
lrosa99 Posted August 17, 2013 #5 Share Posted August 17, 2013 Save your money. It was a waste of time. Overrated and not worth the $20 per person.
bluesea777 Posted August 17, 2013 #6 Share Posted August 17, 2013 Save your money. It was a waste of time. Overrated and not worth the $20 per person. Only for you! As for us and great many others, it was a fun experience - for the $20 - the drinks were good and novel - ice glasses! Just read your previous posts - can you do us a favour and stay in the forum of your preferred cruiseline - please. Calling Bermuda boring??? My foot! Cheers. Absolutely agree - it was well worth the $20 we spent too. My (then) 10 year old LOVED it in the Ice Bar. We fully plan on visiting again:D
cruisecritiquer Posted August 18, 2013 #9 Share Posted August 18, 2013 I had no idea kids could go in the ice bar. My son will love that. :)
Cubechick Posted August 18, 2013 #10 Share Posted August 18, 2013 Thought it was great. Don't feel that we need to do it twice, but definitely worth at least one visit!
puddles99 Posted August 18, 2013 #11 Share Posted August 18, 2013 Is the cover charge the same for the under-21 crowd or reduced like in the specialty restaurants? I'm sure my girls would enjoy the novelty of the Ice Bar (and so will I).

Bracarense Posted August 18, 2013 Author #14 Share Posted August 18, 2013 After all the info we are willing to try it. The only thing that is still leaving us thinking is the fact that our daughter is only 2. We'll see it onboard. Thsnk you all once again.
crimmper Posted August 23, 2013 #15 Share Posted August 23, 2013 This is the Ice Bar menu from the epic from 2010. Not sure if it has changed. [/img]

BOS_CruiseGuy Posted August 23, 2013 #19 Share Posted August 23, 2013 Does every alcoholic drink have vodka or are there other drinks available?
jjikids Posted August 23, 2013 #20 Share Posted August 23, 2013 Since it is sponsored by a vodka company the drinks all have vodka ( except for the non-alcoholic drinks). The drinks are great. Make sure you do not go in there on an empty stomach. Drinks can affect you. Experience was great. Worth it for the memory.
4774Papa Posted August 24, 2013 #21 Share Posted August 24, 2013 How so? I don't particularly enjoy freezing by butt off. The drinks were ok, but there was no ambiance in the sub-freezing temps. I just wanted to drink my drinks and leave.
SliceOfLife Posted August 24, 2013 #22 Share Posted August 24, 2013 Does every alcoholic drink have vodka or are there other drinks available? Look at the menu someone just posted, those are the only drinks you can order.
jinxyoz Posted August 24, 2013 #23 Share Posted August 24, 2013 We lasted five minutes. Overpriced and overrated. After all, it's only a refrigerated cube with ice built into it. Very crowded and small. Ok for a quick photo op (you use your own cameras)
BOS_CruiseGuy Posted August 24, 2013 #24 Share Posted August 24, 2013 Look at the menu someone just posted, those are the only drinks you can order. I wasn't sure if those were the only drinks available. I had never heard of a bar that only serves vodka-based drinks.
kollegekreed Posted August 24, 2013 #25 Share Posted August 24, 2013 Count me with those in the one and done crowd $20 for two drinks you can barely hold while you freeze your butt off in a teensy ice covered space....all set.
