How Can you upgrade inside to outside[if available]once onboard?

I tried this once, only I wanted to go from an outside to a balcony. I went to the front desk, and yes there were balconys available, not free, but for a price. It was a couple of hundred more, per person, so we stayed in the oceanview and had a wonderful cruise.

How Can you upgrade inside to outside[if available]once onboard?

 

Oftentimes, about 2 weeks before a sailing, you can upgrade

to a guarantee cabin and or the price may

be lowered in order to fill the ship. A good time to upgrade. When you are on board all cabins might be taken.

We've tried a number of times and have been told the ship is sold out.

 

We try to book what we'll be happy with... but it never hurts to ask just in case.

We booked one year in advance and are upgraded from an inside cabin to a 2C cabin at no extra charge. This was a promotion though...
