grandgeezer Posted September 4, 2013 #2 Share Posted September 4, 2013 I tried this once, only I wanted to go from an outside to a balcony. I went to the front desk, and yes there were balconys available, not free, but for a price. It was a couple of hundred more, per person, so we stayed in the oceanview and had a wonderful cruise. Cruise a holic Posted September 4, 2013 #4 Share Posted September 4, 2013 How Can you upgrade inside to outside[if available]once onboard? Oftentimes, about 2 weeks before a sailing, you can upgrade to a guarantee cabin and or the price may be lowered in order to fill the ship. A good time to upgrade. When you are on board all cabins might be taken. Enjoy your cruise.
RickT Posted September 4, 2013 #5 Share Posted September 4, 2013 We've tried a number of times and have been told the ship is sold out. We try to book what we'll be happy with... but it never hurts to ask just in case.
Stoffel1982 Posted September 4, 2013 #6 Share Posted September 4, 2013 We booked one year in advance and are upgraded from an inside cabin to a 2C cabin at no extra charge. This was a promotion though... Sent using the Cruise Critic forums app

We're you expecting to get the upgrade for free? Is that why you didn't take the offer? Mumsy.
