Expectations

We are going on the Odyssey. Athens to Venice in June 2014. Was wondering if to expect many children? Smokers? These are two issues we were contemplating. We are older, non smokers, and although we don't dislike Children, would prefer a cruise that was more adult orientated. Any thoughts?

I see your cruise is June 14. Yes, you will have some children because it is summer and it looks to be a seven day cruise. However you will have far fewer children than if you were sailing late June or July or August. So, expect some.

Smokers will vary by cruise when smoking is permitted on board. There is a thread on the new smoking policy which will give you a sense for where it will be permitted on board the ship.

ON any larger SB ship on a seven day Med cruise from June till September you can now expect children. The earlier in June the better as others have stated. And as Keith has said, how many smokers you find will vary from cruise to cruise.
