Venice Transfers

We are arriving at Marco Polo airport and staying in Mestre area pre cruise prior to boarding Legend of the Seas, can anyone provide options of taxi transfers to hotels or is a shuttle bus a cheaper option, how far from airport is Mestre and how far from Mestre to cruise terminal and what transfer options f available

In Venice you should not worry about the cost of transfer. A water taxi (expensive) is the only way to transfer. It is a ride that you will never forget.

If you still have options, why not rethink your pre-cruise stay. Getting yourself almost to Venice and staying in Mestre seems a real shame. Worse than saying you're going to New York but staying in Bayonne, NJ.

 

Anyway, the only way to arrive in Venice is by water -- Aliluna Line has several routes from Marco Polo to Venice proper - getting you pretty much anywhere in Venice.

There are land taxis & buses to Venice PL Roma

Water taxis are nice but very $$$

 

I agree I would stay in Venice proper for the best experience
