frak Posted September 23, 2013 #1 Share Posted September 23, 2013 this cabin seems to be directly below the buffet. will it be noisy? should i look for a cabin below the pool area? thanks
robtulipe Posted September 23, 2013 #2 Share Posted September 23, 2013 We were in 9173 on Summit and it was very noisy above us with carts being wheeled out starting very early in the morning, as in 5am. Have been under the the pool and there could be chair/lounge movement and spray cleaning noise early there too. It is better to be forward under the spa/hair salon, but not gym or on a lower inbetween passenger deck. Also had dish washer noise on Radiance class ship, similar hull and design, when below buffet on SB side.
gimletgal Posted September 23, 2013 #3 Share Posted September 23, 2013 You should be fine right where you are. Have been in 9185 and 9189 w/no noise issues whatsoever. Plus, you are mid ship. Much better than forward.
heatescapee Posted September 23, 2013 #4 Share Posted September 23, 2013 I was told by a Celebrity agent at booking that 9127 "has a wall above you" so it should be quiet. Whether this is true or not, I couldn't say. Our cruise isn't until 9/2014, but it seemed a good choice for us given other options. There had been a statement from another cruiser that this cabin was quiet for him/her.
Rare ghstudio Posted September 23, 2013 #5 Share Posted September 23, 2013 We have been in 9108/9110 on the Millennium (directly across from 9127) and those cabins are under the carpeted seating area of the buffet. As a result, they are some of the quietest A2 aqua cabins as well as some of the best located ones. We have also stayed under the pool area and the noise of carts being wheeled above us at 7AM and chairs being "arranged" by early risers (known affectionately by some as chair hogs, setting up their private space) was not pleasant. yoj13 Posted September 23, 2013 #6 Share Posted September 23, 2013 Hi, We have just got off the Infinity and had cabin no 9119 (Inside) Apart from the small hallway where the cabin attendant kept his trolley, we were directly next to the Ilounge. Your cabin is the other side of this on the opposite side. It is one flight of stairs up to OceanView. There was no inconvenience from either the ilounge, Oceanview, stairs or the lift block. It is mid ship and thank goodness as the Bay of Biscay 'performed' on our return to the UK. I would have preferred being on deck 2 or 3 but we booked late using the guarantee option. Hope this helps
Ciyra Posted September 24, 2013 #7 Share Posted September 24, 2013 There have been some very good reviews of 9125 and considering it is right next door I imagine you'd have a similar experience in 9127.
Gig103 Posted September 24, 2013 #8 Share Posted September 24, 2013 I was in 9125 and loved it. No noise from above, and close to the stairs for a quick snack or soda. Also, 9125 vs. 9127 has less visual obstruction from the support beams. Certainly not make or break, but worth mentioning.
