Civitavecchia port

Since it's been some time that I've docked in Civitavecchia , just wondering if there's anything around the port area to pick up soda etc.

There are several stores within a couple of blocks of the main gate of the port.

I appreciate the info. Also I believe there's usually a shuttle to take you from the ship to the port entrance, any info on this?

Yes, the shuttles run from the ships to the port gates. They are free. Sometimes they have a sign for a specific ship in the window but my experience has been they will take you to any ship.

I wanted to add that it is a port town that is getting better with each passing year. In addition to places to pick up beverages there are a lot of shops and restaurants if you would like to just take a stroll around the town before you pick up those items which you plan to bring back to the ship.

That would be a cruise line policy. Best to ask on the board for the cruise line involved.

 

But, from our experience, which may vary for you, again due to cruise line policies, yes you can.
